I’m Tom, a photographer based in the Cotswolds, working across the UK, Europe, and further afield.

My background is in fine art photography, which I studied at university. This is where my passion for film photography was shaped, through many long hours in the darkroom. That grounding continues to inform how I work today; slowing me down, sharpening my observation and shaping the way I respond to light and movement.

Before photographing weddings full-time, I spent several years working as a commercial outdoor and adventure photographer. This work took me across the world, working with brands such as Cotswold Outdoor, Columbia, Visa UK and the RNLI. Alongside this, I was always photographing weddings quietly on the side. Over time, it became clear that working closely with people — building trust, responding to emotion, and telling human stories — mattered more to me than brand-led commissions, even though the sense of adventure and curiosity that shaped that chapter remains central to how I work.

After years of balancing commercial work and shooting weddings on the side, lockdown was the push I needed to commit fully to wedding photography; something that genuinely gives me so much joy.

The Falkenburgs is very much a family affair, with my wife Laura working closely behind the scenes across planning, communication, and the client experience. Together, we take a calm, considered approach to each wedding, valuing trust, preparation, and collaboration over performance or spectacle.

WORKING WITH THE FALKENBURGS

Working with us is grounded in trust, presence, and a shared understanding of what matters.

We approach each wedding with care and intention, taking time to understand your priorities rather than imposing a formula. Our role is to observe closely, guide gently when needed, and create space for the day to unfold in a way that feels natural to you.

We’re drawn to couples who value connection over performance, and who are excited by photographs that feel lived-in, honest, and reflective of how the day truly felt — not just how it looked. When there’s alignment, everything becomes easier: the collaboration, the experience, and ultimately the work itself.

If we feel like the right fit, we’d love to hear from you.
